Dear Bay Farm Families,
After a thorough search and in-depth interview process, we are excited to introduce Meredith Badders as our new Middle School Humanities Teacher for the upcoming school year. Currently the Lead Middle School Humanities Teacher at Andover School of Montessori, Meredith joins Bay Farm with over ten years of education experience. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in History and Geography and a Masters in Teaching from the University of North Carolina, Meredith is a highly qualified, excellent addition to our team. She is "delighted to be joining Bay Farm and looks forward to working alongside your middle school students."
Meredith believes that understanding and development come from diving deeply into literature, history, and current events, emphasizing multiple understanding perspectives. She develops middle school students' confidence and expertise through action-driven projects like a student-led newspaper and student government. She believes in allowing middle schoolers to apply new knowledge to their passions, emphasizing ownership, and understanding oneself.
Meredith currently lives in Boston with her husband, two Labradors, and their 9-month-old son, who we are excited to welcome to the Toddler House this fall. When not teaching, Meredith and her family enjoy visiting family in North Carolina, camping, and traveling to new locations.
We are thrilled for you to meet Meredith this Fall. She will be an inspiring addition to the entire Bay Farm community.
Thank you,
Conrad
