After a robust search, we are thrilled to announce the hiring of a full-time school nurse for our Bay Farm community. Alyssa Lusardi will begin her role as School Nurse on August 1. A highly trained medical professional, Alyssa will be our main point of contact between the health department and our community as it continues to mitigate and be vigilant around COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. Alyssa will be in charge of ensuring the well-being of our students. She will dispense, log, and keep all medicines up to date for every student and be the primary contact for families regarding any health-related issues. Alyssa will also be working with our staff to create a health and wellness curriculum for our students.
A graduate of the Practical Nurse Program at Cape Cod Regional Technical School, Alyssa’s experience includes working in Hospice Care, where she served as a caretaker and support system for patients and their families. She is coming to Bay Farm with a strong understanding of our current health crisis, completing multiple certifications in COVID-19 preparedness. Alyssa comes highly recommended as a caring professional who always puts the best interests of her patients first.
Nurse Alyssa is excited to join the Bay Farm community. “I want to be a nurse that makes an impact and improves the well-being of others. I think this is a great opportunity to promote healthy living and healthy habits for the children, especially in times like these.”
Please join us in welcoming Nurse Alyssa to Bay Farm. We look forward to the time where you will meet her in person.
